YOU WANT TO CREATE AN
ENVISIONED
FUTURE
MEET LAWRENCE HUEY
EXECUTIVE COACH AND LEADERSHIP CONSULTANT
Lawrence Huey grew up in San Francisco and graduated from UC Davis with dual degrees in Psychology and Communications, a combination that foreshadowed his lifelong work at the intersection of human behavior, leadership, and meaning.
He spent nearly two decades as an ordained pastor, including serving as Lead Pastor of a church on the Westside of Los Angeles, where he led organizations, developed leaders, navigated complexity, and learned firsthand what it takes to build healthy cultures under pressure. During those years, Lawrence honed a rare ability: listening deeply, asking the questions that matter, and helping people grow through moments of challenge and transition.
In 2018, he began broadening his work beyond the church, providing executive coaching and leadership development to nonprofit leaders across the U.S. That expansion eventually led him to the work he does today.
Now, Lawrence brings over 20 years of organizational leadership experience to his coaching and consulting practice, serving senior leaders across sectors, including scaling business owners, nonprofit and education leaders, and executives in Fortune 500 organizations. His work focuses on helping leaders unlock clarity, presence, and sustainable performance by aligning who they are with how they lead.
Lawrence is known for creating safe yet challenging environments that drive real transformation. Each engagement blends strategic insight with deep presence, helping leaders move from awareness to action. Clients often describe his coaching as the intersection of psychological safety, provocative inquiry, and fierce advocacy.
At the heart of Lawrenceβs work is a simple conviction:
better leaders create a better world.
His mission is to help leaders grow not just in what they do, but in who they become.
I help founders and executives make their unique impact without sacrificing themselves and their family.
I didnβt start my career in corporate leadership.
I started by sitting with people in moments of uncertainty, transition, and change.
For nearly two decades, I served as an ordained pastor and Lead Pastor in Los Angeles, leading teams, developing leaders, and navigating the real human challenges that exist beneath titles, strategies, and performance metrics. I learned early that leadership isnβt just about vision or execution. Itβs about who a leader is when things get complex, emotional, and unclear.
In 2018, I felt called to broaden my reach beyond the church. I began coaching nonprofit leaders across the country and quickly saw the same patterns showing up everywhere: talented leaders stuck in overdrive, carrying pressure alone, and disconnected from their deeper sense of purpose.
That work eventually expanded into the corporate and executive space, where I now coach senior leaders across industries. While the context changed, the core truth remained the same:
when leaders grow internally, everything around them changes.
I do this work because leadership shapes culture, culture shapes people, and people shape the world we live in. Helping leaders grow isnβt just meaningfulβ¦ itβs necessary.
Leadership shapes culture, culture shapes people, and people shape the world we live in.
Why I Do This Work
What I donβt want you to know about me.
If youβre a powerful leader, chances are there are things you donβt want others to know about you, but the reality is your authenticity is what makes you so powerful. Today I have the privilege and honor of helping people unlock their special talents, discover their voice, and step into a new level of leadership by helping you discover who you are and show up fully everyday.
-
If you knew me that might come as a surprise to you. My friends and those Iβve led would say Iβm gifted with a full array of tools and skills. Theyβre always astonished by what I can do. I have a hard time seeing that in myself.
-
I grew up with three other close type-A friends. I had to learn that loud and dominant didnβt equate to wise, secure, or brave. Iβve discovered the power of my unique voice and have the privledge today to help others discover theirs and own the room.
-
I always felt like the odd guy out. I thought differently, asked provocative questions, and couldnβt quite conform or settle into status quo. What seemed like a weakness in some circles I've embraced as distinct. Brene Brown says βthe opposite of belonging is fitting in.β Today I look for others who arenβt black sheep, but untamed lions.
SO, HOW CAN WE WORK TOGETHER?
Who I work withβ¦
Those whoβ¦
βshow up day in and day out for themselves and for others.
β want to grow and break through barriers more than I want them to.
β will put in the work needed to create their future.
β will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.
β are willing to take risks because they know that their future is on the other side of their fears.
β arenβt after more information, but take action upon insight.
β inspire me.
β care about meaningful influence and impact.
Who I donβt withβ¦
Those whoβ¦
β are half-hearted or on the fence. Itβs all or nothing.
β arenβt willing to make mistakes and learn from them.
β blame others instead of looking for where they can grow and up level.
β arenβt fully engaged and present when weβre working together.
β want a quick fix.
β arenβt coachable or open to new possibilities and ways of thinking
Ready to discover your unique leadership voice, increase your influence, and create the life you want.
